Glenn Cernosek lives in Austin, Texas where he creates paintings from his favorite travel destinations. “Painting has always been my passion, and doing the field research work for my paintings is a close second. I enjoy being out in nature watching how the sunlight can change the colors of nature from morning to dusk.”
Glenn is a self-taught artist. He sold his first painting when he was 12. His interest in watercolor was sparked in 1969 by a visit to a Chicago bookstore, where he found a great watercolor book by John Pike. John’s book led Glenn to discover Winslow Homer, the first American watercolorist. Glenn is equally enthusiastic about oil painting.
Glenn has exhibited his paintings in many art competitions, including:
2010 Waterloo Watercolor Group 32nd Annual Members' Juried Show
American Watercolor Society, New York
Watercolor Art Society – Houston
Western Federation of Watercolor Societies
Art For The Parks, Jackson, Wyoming
Tri Delta Art Show & Sale - Houston
